Why we started
PlainWell started with a simple question: if we're trying to get plastic out of our kitchens, what should we actually drink from?
Glass breaks. Most steel bottles still come with plastic lids and straws. Copper kept coming up. People in India have stored drinking water in copper for centuries, and it's a material that lasts for years.
But so did a problem. Many "copper" bottles sold online are painted or plated steel, and many come with health promises nobody can back up. We wanted to offer one bottle, done properly: pure copper, certified by SGS, priced honestly, with clear instructions and a real person to help.
